I have highlighted cosplay before as a way to travel to new worlds. I really like looking into this even though I don’t really do cosplay myself. But I wanted to put some people in the spotlight who do an amazing job with it but hardly get the attention they deserve. So every month I will put one cosplayer in the spotlight. Together with the cosplayer I will select my/their favourite cosplay. Cosplayer of November: Captain Amelia Cosplay.
A very Merry Christmas everyone! Wherever you may spend it, I hope it is a time with family, friends, and a lot of joy.
I’ve had such an amazing time in Cologne this weekend. It was my first time going there and I absolutely loved it. If you were considering adding it to your travel bucket list: do it! Especially in the days surrounding Christmas. I guess everyone who has ever considered going to Cologne looked into visiting the Cologne Cathedral (or Kölner Dom). It is the symbol of Cologne. The Cologne Cathedral was actually one of the first things we’ve recognised this saturday when approaching the city. I was quite excited to see the cathedral (from the inside). It really is worth a visit. With buildings like the Cologne Cathedral, I guess the golden rule is: You have to see it for yourself. However, for those who can’t visit (yet), find below a photo impression from my city trip!
Do you know that feeling when you come across someone’s (travel) photos and you wish you coud capture a moment like that? I spend my time regularly scrolling through Instagram looking at everyone’s amazing photos. While I wish often that I could capture photos like that, they also inspire me to improve my own skills. The travel photos of actor Nathaniel Buzolic definitely fall in the above category.
I’ll be spending my weekend in Cologne! I’m super excited as I have never been there before. We’ll be strolling around the Christmas market and visiting the cathedral for sure, but if you have any other must-visits, please let me know. Of course I will blog about it here afterwards, but I will do my best to update Instagram and Facebook during the weekend. So make sure to follow for some sneak peeks during my city trip.
Edinburgh is situated right at the coast of Scotland. The city has its own harbour and is not unknown to fresh fish and seafood. Many restaurants serve fish and seafood. And no, I don’t mean fried fish at the pubs (which is a must try in the UK anyway at least once). During my visit to Edinburgh there were two fish/seafood dishes that I loved, thatyou should definitely consider trying too.
It’s the beginning of December so it is time for a blog about Christmas markets! Germany is very much known for it (later this month I’m finally visiting my first German Christmas market in Cologne!). But Brussels is definitely a city you should consider if you are planning a weekend get-a-way for Christmas. The Christmas market in Brussels runs from the 27th of November till the 3rd of January, so there is still plenty of time to go.
Last weekend the Foodfestival Amsterdam took in place in the convention centre the Rai. More than 80 different foodtrucks, restaurants, and food related companies where represented. You could basically get anything ranging from a grasshopper (yes really!) to a burger, and from a fancy glass of Moët et Chandon to a good old glass of beer. I visited on Sunday, the last day of the festival (apparently some of the other days have been crazy busy!), where there was a nice and relaxing vibe. I went together with a friend and we looked around the different stalls and tried a great variety of different bites and drinks.
