Europe Bucket List – Part Two

Bucket List

Last year, I already wrote about 5 places/countries which are on my bucket list for Europe – my home continent. Since it is a new year it is time for an addition of another 5 cities/countries. I’m also very curious for anything in Europe you have on your bucket list! So far on the bucket list were the following places:
1. Porto (Portugal)
2. Edinburgh (Scotland) (visited summer 2015)
3. Isle of Skye (Scotland)
4. Cologne (Germany) (visited December 2015)
5. Iceland

6. Copenhagen
Denmark’s capital: Copenhagen. While the whole country is probably a beautiful destination, the diversity of the city has always attracted me. Its location at the sea, the colourful houses, modern restaurants, and of course the little mermaid. I hope to experience it all!

7. Paris
This one might seem strange on my bucket list. Have I never been to Paris before? I have, several times actually. But for some reason it feels like I never really visited this city. Every time I went I spend most time visiting the touristic highlights. Next time I go to Paris i want to browse the vintage shops, discover where the locals love to go, have breakfast at a small boulangerie…

8. Monaco
Monaco is one of the tiniest countries in the world and I would love to see it once. It is a country, and city, that is on my list “because you just have to experience it once”. I’m not sure if I would go here more than once, I guess I can only determine it once I’ve been there but still. But in the end, I do want to lay eyes on the grand casiono and posh cash 😉

9. Croatia
There are so many cities and places I want to visit in Croatia. Makes it easier to just put the whole country on my bucket list then right? Dubrovnik, Hvar, Split, plitvice lakes…the options to explore are almost endless. And a great added bonus of coourse is that I would be able to see some of the spots where Game of Thrones was filmed!

10. Vienna
Vienna is such a rich city when it comes to culture. So many beautiful buildings to photograph and parcs to visit. I have heard a lot of good things about Vienna. It would be perfect for a lovely little get-a-way, or two.

Have any of you been to any of the above cities/countries? Any recommendations?

  • Wenen en Kopenhagen staan ook op mijn lijstje. Kroatië is een aanrader. In Dubrovnik ben ik zelf nog niet geweest, maar de Plitvicemeren zijn prachtig. Daar moet je echt een keer heen!
