“I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.”

Dutch Comic Con

You might have noticed on my social media channels already that I’ve spent my weekend at Dutch Comic Con in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. Dutch Comic Con is a convention for fans from TV-shows, movies, comics, books, anything fandom related. Several artists and actors were present at the con just as many different dealers. One of the goals of the weekend for me personally was to spend more time on cosplay photography. I took photos of a variety of cosplayers and did shoots with Dreams Beyond Cosplay and Lightened Skies Cosplay. I hope to sort through my photos this week so I can publish them online by the weekend!

Custom Jewels

I thought, as part of February Fiction Month, it was time for a give-a-way on the blog. Together with Custom Jewels I can gift one of you with a fandom bracelet. Custom Jewels sells all kinds of fandom jewelry and other merchandise. If you are fan of Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, or any other TV-show, movie, or book, you will want to have a look at their website (Dutch webshop). So, let’s get back to what you can win this month here on the blog…

The Hunger Games

This week Mockingjay Part 2 is releasing, the last instalment of the Hunger Games franchise. Good reason for a tribute to the books and movies. I bought all three books four years ago when I was in London with a friend. I ended up reading them back to back during my summer holidays. I LOVED them. While I guess no-one really wants to live in a Hunger Games kind of world, the books were written so well that I could easily imagine being part of the crowds watching the reaping or being side by side with Gale and Katniss hunting. Suzanne Collins did an amazing job in pulling her readers into the story. Therefore, I really wanted to take a moment and review the amazing franchise on the blog. Because as you might know by now, travelling via a work of fiction is something I love to do as well.
