Probably one of the more extreme ways to live in a fictional world is by the means of cosplay. There are so many different opinions on the idea: some love it, some hate it. I’ve never really cosplayed myself (apart from one event I went to and a friend crafted a fairy inspired dress for me), but I do find the concept of it interesting. Plus, I love to see all my favourite page/screen characters come to live via someone’s imagination.
Whether it is something you like or not, there is one thing that should never be forgotten: the amount of time, work, and commitment that goes into these projects. I have been to a few conventions (e.g. Elfia Arcen and Dutch Comic Con) and whatever the costume it may be, the people wearing it always show it off with pride.
Has anyone of you ever tried your hand at cosplay or is it something you would like to try? I’m not sure if I’ll ever do any real cosplay myself. But I’m planning to at least visit Dutch Comic Con next year again (and maybe Elfia Haarzuilens too), so I hope to give copslay photoshooting a go. Like I said, it’s always amazing to see your favourite characters come to life!

I think it’s such a great and creative way of expressing your passion for something! Would love to make a cosplay but I don’t think that I own the skill to make one myself 😀
